grandfather clocks and cuckoo clocks are made of linden wood and our oak
finish grandfather clocks and cuckoo clocks are made of catalpa. The etched
glass wall clocks and mantle or desk clocks are solid oak. They are all real
wood and come finely finished in antique and other styles. The cuckoo clocks
are real wood with deep cherry finishes in Black Forest, German type styles.
What kind of movements do your grandfather clocks,
cuckoo clocks, and etched glass clocks have in them? The
grandfather clocks have dependable 31-day key-wind movements. You wind them
once per month. They are totally mechanical and are NOT battery operated. The
movement is driven by the springs you wind instead of by the weights. The
chimes are created by two hammers hitting two chime pin rods. It is hard to
beat these dependable movements. The cuckoo clocks and etched glass clocks
have accurate quartz movements.
Do the pendulums swing on your grandfather clocks?
Of course they do...our grandfather clocks are real pendulum clocks. If you
stop the pendulum from swinging, then the clock stops.
Do your grandfather clocks and cuckoo clocks have
a night time shut off switch for the chime? Our grandfather clocks
do not have a shut off switch. However, they have a very pleasant tone that
really is a comforting sound. The cuckoo clocks do have a shut off switch, a
night time sensor, and volume control.
What if my grandfather clock or cuckoo clock
arrives with some shipping
damage? In the unfortunate event that you receive your
grandfather clock or cuckoo clock and it has been damaged in transit, you
should contact us as soon as possible, and we will ask you some questions to
find out what part is damaged. We will either send out a replacement part to
you within two business days or, if it is not repairable, we will have your
clock picked up and then send you a replacement. We will also replace an
etched glass clock that has arrived damaged. Because they are packed well,
only 2% of our clocks arrive with shipping damage. This means that 98 out of
100 clocks arrive in perfect condition.

bet they do. Your clock has a 1
year warranty on the clock movement. The etched glass images are
guaranteed for the life of the glass never to fade or rub off. Please note
that this lifetime guarantee does not apply to broken glass. If you have a
problem with your clock, just contact us, and if it is defective, we will
repair or replace it.

Where is the warehouse? The grandfather
clock and cuckoo clock warehouse is located about 8 miles south of Murray, KY.
The etched glass clocks are distributed from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our
mailing address is in Hopkinsville, KY. Every
grandfather clock and cuckoo clock is tested before it leaves the warehouse.
How long will it take for me to receive my
grandfather clock, cuckoo clock, or etched glass clock?
Your clock will be shipped
within two business days unless it is a holiday or weekend. Then,
depending on where you live, it will take 1 to 5 business days for delivery.
This will all depend on how far your location is from the warehouse.
Is there any assembly
once I receive my grandfather clock? Yes, but
it won't take long, and it is truly simple. The only tool needed is a philips
screwdriver to insert 8 machine screws. It will not take you more than 10
minutes from start to finish. There are thorough instructions, and if you have
any problem or questions our telephone number is listed on bottom of each page
of this website and on the "contact
us" page of our site. We will be glad to assist. The clocks are
packed this way for safe shipment, and so we can have them delivered by UPS
instead of a freight truck that would cost several hundred dollars for
delivery. There is nothing technical about the assembly and set up. All
technical parts pertaining to the clock head and clock movement are
pre-assembled and require no further attention.
What if I receive my clock and decide to return
it, do you have a return
policy? Should your selection not be what you expected or meet your
needs, please call us within 7 days of receiving shipment and we will offer a
return authorization where you may ship the selection back to us within 15
days of having received shipment. We charge no restocking fees. We only ask
that the customer be responsible for the cost of shipping and handling the
product to the customer and the customer is responsible for the cost of return
insured shipping. Please do not send any products back to the factory. An
authorization number must be issued in order for us to accept a return. Give
us a call as this only takes a few minutes. We ask that the products be in 'as
received' condition and all of the original warranty cards, manuals and
original packing be included. All returns must be shipped 'insured' for the
purchase price of the selection.
Will I be able to reach a real person on the phone

What if my grandfather clock does not strike the
correct hour? If the clock is new, allow it to operate for several
hours before making any adjustments. If the strike is off, grasp the HOUR HAND
ONLY (short hand) and rotate it forward or backward to line up with the
correct hour on the dial indicated by the number of times the hour strikes.
Rotating this hand independently will not harm the movement. Then adjust the
hands to the correct time by rotating the minute hand (long hand) clockwise
being sure to stop at each hour and half hour to allow it to go through its
chiming process.
